Project Islanders is a youth project funded by the Erasmus+ programme aimed to help young people gain added confidence in themselves by learning numerous skills in communication, leadership, teamwork, social entrepreneurship, marketing, IT and presentation skills so as to be able to either get back into education or the workforce.
Malta is an archipelago in the central Mediterranean between Sicily and the North African coast. It’s a nation known for historic sites related to a succession of rulers including the Romans, Moors, Knights of Saint John, French and British. It has numerous fortresses, megalithic temples and the Ħal Saflieni Hypogeum, a subterranean complex of halls and burial chambers dating to circa 4000 B.C.
The Azores, an autonomous region of Portugal, are an archipelago in the mid-Atlantic. The islands are characterized by dramatic landscapes, fishing villages, green pastures and hedgerows of blue hydrangeas. São Miguel, the largest, has lake-filled calderas and the Gorreana tea plantation. Pico is home to the 2,351m Mt. Pico and vineyards sheltered by boulders.
Crete, Greece’s largest island, is known for its varied terrain, which ranges from fine-sand beaches at Elafonisi to the White Mountains. Mt. Ida, the tallest of the range, is home to the Ideon Cave, which was the birthplace of Zeus, according to Greek mythology. The capital, Heraklion, is home to the renowned Heraklion Archaeological Museum, housing Minoan artifacts, and Knossos, a Bronze Age settlement.
As DH Lawrence wrote ‘Sardinia is different’. The island boasts mountainous terrain, wild boars, flamingos, four million sheep, an oak forest expanse, culinary delights, and some of the world’s most spectacular, unspoilt, idyllic beaches. Sardinia’s capital Cagliari is home to 150,000 people and boasts a vibrant nightlife scene, hundreds of restaurants, and incredible architecture. Whether it’s the great outdoors, beautiful blue beaches, or city life you desire, you’ll find it here in Sardinia.

It’s amazing place to start your day! Sunrise in such a energetic powerful place! I felt myself full of energy after yoga and breakfast. Excursion in Megalithic Temples was very interesting and not boring (thanks to our guide!). This is unique activity!

I could enjoy this activity and it was totally amazing! The place is very special and you could enjoy the natura and to see the sunrise. If you would like to do a different activity In Malta, I recommend you this. You could visit the temples, but in a way completely different. Also, the team, who organized that, are very nice and they think in every detail. Thank you very much to all of them!
